Staring at this reflection
I wonder what you see
Because I see only flaws and scratches
I’m not what I’m supposed to be
I know I can’t be perfect
And that no one ever can
But I’m so far from what I pictured
Lord, just tell me who I am?
All I see is a million pieces
Scattered on the floor
Years of silent scrutiny
They all expected more
I’ve tried to be a vessel for You, Lord
But I seem to fail at every task
All I see is broken glass.
Looking back at this journey
How I’ve changed along the way
I used to be full of sunshine
Now my skies only gray
Why has that sun faded/
Into hurt and could-have-beens?
Father, can you make me whole
And reveal Your sun again?
All I see is a million pieces
Scattered on the floor
Years of silent scrutiny
They all expected more
I’ve tried to be a vessel for you,Lord
But I seem to fail at every task
All I see is broken glass.
Child, I see those scattered pieces
I’m here to put them back
Those years you spent hiding hurt inside
Are staying in the past
I don’t know what you’re sorry for
You’ve loved and that is all I ask
Come to me with your broken glass.

Hi Ashley! I like this one, I wish someone would put it to music so I could hear it

Hi Aunt Tara! Most of these already have melodies but Emily and I are working on the piano music for them. You should hear her play! She is so gifted. When we’re finished, you’re welcome to hear it:)
