My fall is set in motion
By that force that pulls the ocean
To the floor
My rise is my demise
That I can’t see with these dim eyes
There’s something more

Desperation’s motivation
To cry out for saving grace
But pride conceals
How much it steals
When we forget our place

Weakness knows it needs
Strength from the stronger
But strength is sure it needs
No helping hand
Pain knows it needs
Healing from the healer
But life sees no disease
In the life that it can’t understand

My life is losing meaning
While my strongest tower is leaning
Toward the ground
My death is sure impending
Is this the happy ending
I have found?

A systemic epidemic
Has my body shutting down
Evidence of my offense
Is flashing all around

Weakness knows it needs
Strength from the stronger
But strength is sure it needs
No helping hand
Pain knows it needs
Healing from the healer
But life sees no disease
In the life that it can’t understand

Gravity
Serenity
The force stronger than myself
That holds me when I’m calling for help

So if there’s rocks at the bottom
Let me fall in peace
Don’t wake me from my bliss
To show me I’m diseased
Don’t give me a mirror
I don’t need to see my face
To know I’m a failure
Just a pure disgrace
I know it looks as if I need you
But looks can decieve
Stick around a moment longer
And you’ll see

Gravity is holding me
Captive or no
I’m finally letting go
To gravity
