You may never know how much
Your story’s altered mine
And you may never see my face
Until eternity replaces time
But, know this..
I will not forget the miracle you are
Your face is etched in my memory
Like a beautifully precious scar
So, look into the mirror
See the soul that Jesus saved
See the ears that heard God’s voice that night
The desperate lips that prayed…
And see that heart I wish I knew
Washed clean of every stain
Filled– and overfilled– with love
And healed from bitter pain.
You may never hear me
Tell you just how much it’s meant
To talk with you so honestly
Through messages we’ve sent
But know this..
You’ve made God more real to me
Than ever before
And though I’ve loved my Savior much
Now, I love Him so much more
For showing me that miracles are just a prayer away
And that though life’s never perfect,
God gives strength for each new day.
You and I may never meet
Until we’ve reached this long road’s end
But, know this..
I’ve thanked God each day, every day since then
For bringing your words to my heart
And making you my friend.
